Suggested itinerary
Day 1 · Şanlıurfa and Göbekli Tepe
Meet in Şanlıurfa and begin at the Archaeology Museum, where the region’s Neolithic finds set the scene. Continue to Göbekli Tepe for a guided visit to the monumental enclosures and their carved T-shaped pillars. Return to the city with time to walk around Balıklıgöl and the old bazaar; stories associated with Abraham are introduced as local tradition. Suggested overnight in Şanlıurfa.
Day 2 · Karahantepe and Harran
Travel into the wider Taş Tepeler landscape to visit Karahantepe if visitor access is available on your date. Your guide connects its evidence to Göbekli Tepe without treating every interpretation as settled. Continue to Harran for its traditional conical-roofed houses and historic setting, then return to Şanlıurfa or arrange a suitable onward transfer.
