Day 1: The History and Exploration of Cappadocia

Upon arrival at the airport in the early morning, we transfer to Cappadocia. Our first stop is the Göreme Open-Air Museum, one of the most significant Christian centers in Cappadocia. During our guided tour, we explore rock-carved churches and frescoes, witnessing the lifestyle and religious practices of early Christians. Next, we visit Elmalı Church and St. Barbara Church, where we admire early Christian frescoes depicting scenes from the Bible and sacred figures.

We then continue to Paşabağı, a serene retreat for Christian monks, where we explore rock churches and monastic dwellings. Afterward, we enjoy lunch at a local restaurant offering traditional Cappadocian flavors. In the afternoon, we head to Çavuşin Village, an ancient Christian settlement with rock-carved houses and churches. Here, we visit the Church of St. John the Baptist, one of the oldest and most significant Christian sites in Cappadocia. Finally, we visit Uçhisar Castle, a panoramic viewpoint offering breathtaking views of the region, perfect for capturing stunning photos. We conclude the day with dinner and check-in at our hotel.

Day 2: Underground Cities and Monastic Retreats

We start the day with an optional hot air balloon tour, allowing guests to witness Cappadocia’s breathtaking scenery at sunrise. Afterward, we visit the Kaymaklı Underground City, one of the places where early Christians sought refuge from Roman persecution. As we explore its intricate tunnels, worship areas, and living quarters, we gain insight into the resilience of these communities.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we take a scenic walk through Pigeon Valley, observing ancient pigeon houses carved into the rocks. In the afternoon, we visit Red Valley, where monks once practiced solitude and devotion. Surrounded by striking red rock formations, we explore monastic sites and take in the stunning sunset views.

In the evening, we transfer to the airport, marking the end of our journey.
