Hagia Sophia; The Meeting Point of Two Faiths.We begin our tour at Hagia Sophia, a structure that shaped history and mesmerizes with its architecture. Built as a church in 537 by Byzantine Emperor Justinian, this building was the center of the Eastern Orthodox Church for centuries. Converted into a mosque in 1453 by the Ottomans, it now captivates visitors as a cultural symbol. Golden Mosaics: Mosaics adorned with figures of Christ, Virgin Mary, and angels are masterpieces of Byzantine art. Grand Dome: The 56-meter-high dome is one of the architectural marvels of its time. Mosque Details: The mihrab, minbar, and grand calligraphic inscriptions from the Ottoman era reflect Islamic art.
Topkapi Palace ; The Heart of Ottoman Splendor. After Hagia Sophia, we head to Topkapi Palace, where the Ottoman sultans lived for 400 years. The palace was not just a residence but also the center of Ottoman administration and treasury.
