Day 1: Mardin Tour

Arrival in Mardin and City Exploration.We will arrive in Mardin in the morning. Our first stop will be Mardin Castle, where we can admire the panoramic view of the city and take some great photos. Zinciriye Medrese:After visiting Mardin Castle, we head to Zinciriye Medrese, one of the most significant Ottoman structures in Mardin dating back to the 14th century. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the history of the region and the architecture of medreses. Mardin Houses and Stone Streets:We walk through Mardin’s narrow streets to explore the famous stone houses. The architecture of Mardin Houses offers fantastic examples that reflect the region’s history and culture. As we stroll through the streets, you will feel the unique atmosphere of Mardin. Ulu Mosque and Kasımiye Medrese:After visiting one of Mardin’s historic mosques, the Ulu Mosque, we proceed to Kasımiye Medrese, one of the important religious structures of Mardin with an impressive design.Overnight: Stay in Mardin.

Day 2: Midyat Tour

Journey to Midyat:Today, we head to Midyat, a charming town near Mardin, famous for its stone houses, historic buildings, and streets. We will closely explore the traditional lifestyle and architecture of the region. Midyat Houses and Historic Bazaars:One of the most striking features of Midyat is its traditional stone houses. These houses are arranged like pieces of art in narrow streets. We also explore the Midyat Bazaar, where you can discover handmade products and local souvenirs. Mor Gabriel Monastery Visit:We visit Mor Gabriel Monastery, one of the historic monasteries unique to Midyat, to learn about the history of the Syriac Orthodox people. The mystical atmosphere inside the monastery and the religious buildings will leave you in awe. Copper Bazaar and Handicrafts:We visit Midyat’s famous Copper Bazaar to see copper craftsmanship and handmade products, offering a close-up look at these traditional arts.Overnight: Stay in Mardin or Midyat.
